Saturday night I covered a fundraising event with Helping Hands Monkey Helpers at the Charles River Museum in Waltham MA. Although it was a gray drizzly night the event was a warm and fun celebration for all the participants. Monkey Helpers has transitioned from animal assisted living for disable persons to a new stage of access using the latest in robotic and VR technology. Demonstrations were setup amongst all the historical artifacts of the museum of Waltham’s history of engineering and technology. The night culminated with a presentation from from film producer Marie-Christine Jaeger-Firmenich known for the movie Gigi and Nate. The organization also introduced the new name change of the organization to Envisioning Access for the innovative solutions for people living with physical disabilities.
