Finally getting back to views from my Iceland trip in May. Our group toured the golden circle and arrived at Fridheimar for a lunch of tomato soup and freshly baked bread. Fridheimar is run by Knútur Rafn Ármann and his wife Helena Hermundardóttir. We got a tour of the green house facilities and learned a little about how they are produced and that 60% of all the tomatoes on Iceland are grown there. Horse shows and horse breeding are other key ventures for the farm. I got to meet with the riders after the show and learned a little history of the Icelandic Horse breed. They may seem smaller than a horse but definitely not a pony.
