Portrait views with local Lowell MA author Stephen O’Connor. I had met Steve years ago at his book presentation “The Witch at Rivermouth” but I had just recently read his books ” This is No Time to Quit Drinking” “the Spy in the City of Books” and “Smokestack Lightning Stories” which prompted me to contact him. I asked him for a opportunity to do an authors portrait. We agreed on a location and time at the Lowell Pollard Memorial Library and I had the best time finding the light and backgrounds I needed to complement the scene. Steve has a new book out this week “Northwest of Boston Stories” with the book drop at the Athenian Corner Restaurant this Saturday. You can find his books through his publisher Loom Press and locally at LaLa Books in Lowell. If you haven’t read his work I think you will enjoy his writing style and especially the locations and characters which will strike a note with you and sometimes have you laughing out loud.

Thanks so much Kevin. You’re a talented photographer and a good guy. One thing- the book launch is Saturday at the Athenian Corner. Great though The Olympia is! It’s 2:00-5:00 at the Athenian!
Thanks again,
Steve
