A few weeks ago I attended the Lowell Women’s Week 2026 breakfast awards. My wife Janet and I were there to support family friend and Honoree JoAnn Marcos. She was receiving the Because of Her award for her many years of service to Lowell Women’s Week and her outstanding leadership and dedication to the Lowell Community. Emcee Thao Lan introduced Keynote Speaker Dr. Tahina Montoya along with other guest speakers including Representative Lori Trahan and District Attorney Marion T. Ryan, and Special guest Julia Magee. It was a great event with a sold out crowd. Janet and I sat with JoAnn’s family and friends to celebrate this special presentation. It was an especially enjoyable treat for Janet who has been a friend of JoAnn since grammar school. I have posted a few of my views here and you can see more at my Events Page.
