Another day another site in our tour of Banff Alberta Canada. We boarded our tour bus at the Lake Louise ski resort parking lot in the morning with a trip to Lake Louise and later in the afternoon to Lake Moraine. Cloudy skies with low lying clouds along with wildfire smoke took away from those blue sky views I was looking for but still an awe inspiring site to see. The turquois blue of the water was mesmerizing as the Canadian Rockies towered over the edge of the lakes. Drawbacks where the large crowds of tourist as bus after bus arrived unloading the polite but abundant crowds. At one point the park shut down all tour buses coming in and delayed our departure by at least an hour. No real reason was given but it definitely didn’t get a gold star from me on that note. Plan as best you can for the weather whatever it is but at the very least go early.
