Earlier this week I helped my friend and fellow photographer Adrien Bisson put up his exhibition prints at the Arts League of Lowell Greenwald Gallery. The exhibition corresponds with his book “the lawn was like a hay field”. I have one of his handmade first addition books and have seen the progress of this work in this project throughout the past few years. His words describe it best “I’m presenting photographs that I created when I was a teenager in the small town in which I was born and raised, juxtaposed with ones that I made there in the last couple of years. It’s a story filled with memories of growing up in that time and place, and how we’ve both changed and stayed the same. ” The show is open from April 24-May 19 2024 and just in time for the Lowell Town and the City Festival.
