Vinyl Destination opened back in 2013 at Mill No. 5 in Lowell MA and was always a stop off for me to visit. I knew Dave Perry from his days at the Lowell Sun and always enjoyed his writing. Through the years I would try to capture some views of him and his family and coworkers. We even did a shoot for Merrimack Valley Magazine back in 2020 for an article on the resurgence of vinyl records. As his shop closed up this weekend I was taken with the amount of people who came by and left with arm loads of vinyl records. Many of them giving him thanks for what he brought to the community. I will miss his shop and his wit and charm.
