Last March I was working with St. Anselm College for their Portraits Magazine Spring/Summer 2025 issue with retired U.S. Marshall Stephen Monier class of “74”. The article “Look to the Helpers” by writer Bridget Martin Lazzara featured several alumni that dedicated their life’s mission to helping others. I met with Steve at his home in Goffstown NH and we did several poses around his home office which was filled with memorabilia of his life’s work. Steve was instrumental in the standoff of Ed and Elaine Brown for tax evasion and chronicles the history of the event in his book No One Has To Die: Inside the Longest Armed Standoff in the History of the U.S. Marshals.
