Road Trip Brattleboro VT

Last weekend I took a little road trip to Brattleboro VT for dinner and a tour of their downtown area.

If you haven’t been to Brattleboro in a while things have changed. It had been at least 30 years for me.

It reminded me of Portland Oregon with it’s quirky look and feel.

First stop was a quick coffee at Mocha Joe’s then a stroll down Main Street.

When you are there check out the classic white New England Centre Congregational Church, Brooks House and the art deco Latchis Hotel.

For the arts I spent a little time at the Vermont Center for Photography Gallery and met with Greg Worden at the Vermont Artisan Designs.

We ended our visit with dinner at Peter Havens Restaurant with chef and owner Zack Corbin a second cousin to my wife Janet.

Dinner was excellent with mussels, salad and a delicious ginger glazed pork chop. I plan a trip back in the spring.
